Visual Development and Background Design
I am currently working as a visual development artist and background painter for this upcoming student short film by Perri Cohn. The story is about a dog named Casey who helps a ballerina heal from an illness that's preventing her from doing what she loves. One of the main goals of the film is to successfully communicate complex emotions such as pain, loneliness, and hope through color. Below are some examples of backgrounds I designed and painted.

I am currently working as a visual development artist and background painter for this upcoming student short film by Ryan Livesay. The story follows a cat as he deals with the passing of his canine friend, Sam, and learns how to live happily with his memories of him. The director is looking to create an atmosphere of wonder and mystery in his film, rather than one of loss or grief. Below are some examples of backgrounds I designed and painted.
